THE STORY BEGINS...

On 1st of May 2008, me and a friend (Omel) went to Port Dickson to ease our mind while fishing in Marina Lagoon. It was a splendid 3 days vacation cos we have a chance to talk about our career plan and our future, it was very relaxing eventhough thru out the vacation we only caught a fish, hehehe.. On our way back, we stopped by at Port Dickson Mini Zoo, me and Omel has been animals lover since we were kids. It was a very simple zoo runs by a family. What caught our attention was they have guinea fowls and quite other few game birds.

When we get back in KL, we start searching information of Guinea Fowl and how we can breed it so that everybody can "taste" this very exquisite taste of this special game bird. The search for this game birds is endless, and along the way we met new friends that share same compassions. On 11th June 2008, the 1st batch of guinea keets arrive in BinDim Farm (BD Farm) in Pontian, Johor together with 8 poultes. This is a pilot project and i dont even tell my mum about the arrival of these birds.. hehehe... btw BD farm is own by me and my brother (Abdul Kadir @ Kadir Belanda).

To date, BD Farm has more than 250 turkeys and arnd 50 guinea fowls, we also raised ayam kampung & Ayam Kabir, we are targeting of supplying at least 300 birds per month starting from June 2010. Other than poultry, we also have 4 ponds of catfish, 4 ponds of ikan puyu, and 2 ponds of ikan haruan in our humble BinDim Farm...

Program PPRT Daerah Pontian

Salam semua..

Walaupun dh terlambat kami tetap nk ucapkan CNY.. hehe.. cuti panjang, sama panjang dgn jammed kat hiway, masyaAllah... :(

Ada berita baru dan berita baik kat BD Farm, setelah bersusah payah selama lebih 2 thn utk memperkenalkan ayam belanda/ turkey di pasaran johor, akhirnya usaha kami sekali lagi di hargai oleh Jabatan Haiwan. JPV Daerah Pontian negeri johor dgn kerjasama Lembaga Nenas Malaysia pada tahun ini telah memperkenalkan Program PPRT Ternakan Ayam Belanda utk 4 org peserta yg bertuah dan terpilih..

Apa yg menjadi kebanggaan kami, BD Farm telah dilantik sbg penasihat projek & mentor utk 4 peserta ini. 4 peserta yg terpilih ialah:

1. En Zahid, Kg Melayu, Kukup, Pontian
2. Puan Jaimah, Kg Soh, Kukup, Pontian
3. En Ramli, Kg Sawah, Pekan Nenas, Pontian
4. Puan Rosmida, Parit Betak, Pontian

Peserta2 ini akan mendapat:

1. reban induk 16 x 10 kaki
2. kawasan berpagar 80 x 80 kaki
3. brooder
4. anak ayam belanda sebanyak 80 ekor (umur 3 mggu)
5. induk ayam belanda 8 ekor (2 jantan, 6 betina)
6. dedak ayam 20 beg.

Niat JPV pontian adalah untuk menjadikan pontian sebagai hub-ayam belanda negeri johor, alhamdullillah... kami berharap para peserta akan berusaha dan tidak mensia2kan bantuan yg diberi ini. kami percaya, jika kena caranya, penternakan ayam belanda mampu menjana ekonomi bagi peserta program PPRT ni, insyaAllah...

p/s: tahun depan buat PPRT ayam mutiara plak, hehe.. aminnn...
