THE STORY BEGINS...

On 1st of May 2008, me and a friend (Omel) went to Port Dickson to ease our mind while fishing in Marina Lagoon. It was a splendid 3 days vacation cos we have a chance to talk about our career plan and our future, it was very relaxing eventhough thru out the vacation we only caught a fish, hehehe.. On our way back, we stopped by at Port Dickson Mini Zoo, me and Omel has been animals lover since we were kids. It was a very simple zoo runs by a family. What caught our attention was they have guinea fowls and quite other few game birds.

When we get back in KL, we start searching information of Guinea Fowl and how we can breed it so that everybody can "taste" this very exquisite taste of this special game bird. The search for this game birds is endless, and along the way we met new friends that share same compassions. On 11th June 2008, the 1st batch of guinea keets arrive in BinDim Farm (BD Farm) in Pontian, Johor together with 8 poultes. This is a pilot project and i dont even tell my mum about the arrival of these birds.. hehehe... btw BD farm is own by me and my brother (Abdul Kadir @ Kadir Belanda).

To date, BD Farm has more than 250 turkeys and arnd 50 guinea fowls, we also raised ayam kampung & Ayam Kabir, we are targeting of supplying at least 300 birds per month starting from June 2010. Other than poultry, we also have 4 ponds of catfish, 4 ponds of ikan puyu, and 2 ponds of ikan haruan in our humble BinDim Farm...

MAHA dtg lagi...

Salam semua..

Rasanya dah lebih sebulan aku x update blog ni, huhu.. bknnya sibuk sgt pun tp sebab penyakit malas sudah melanda.. hehe..

Baru2 ni byk berita dari rakan ternakan yg 'hampir collapse' sebab reban terkena sampar, seram sejuk aku dibuatnya, huhu.. penyakit ni mmg igauan ngeri buat penternak kecil mcm kita semua. lebih2 lagi penternak 'ayam organik'. sbb kalau nk diikutkan, ayam organik kita xleh vaksin sesuka hati, nk vaksin pun kena pakai vaksin yg organik atau natural.. kalau bg vaksin biasa tu mmg boleh, tp ayam dh x boleh dilabel sbg organik, huhu..

ok lah, kita kembali ke tajuk asal.. MAHA tahun ni promo die kurang sensasi, nmpk mcm sayup2 je, agaknya bajet dh tipis kot. kesiannn...

Dulu BD Farm target nk 'joint' MAHA 2010 ni, tp hajat kami x kesampaian sbb kos mahal sgt.. booth indoor 10x10 kaki yg paling murah pun dh cecah RM3,900. mana la nk mampu, huhu.. tp xpe, next MAHA kami bertekad akan joint juga, ko tggu je la MAHA 2012, hehe...

Cerita psl MAHA ni, haritu kwn ternak aku Wan Cikot bg tau, JPV johor jemput die untuk lawatan ke MAHA 2010, kami di BD Farm pun dpt jemputan yg sama.. Alhamdullilah 'hubungan' kami dgn JPV johor semakin mantap.. Mmg bagus kalau kita mendaftar n berbaik dgn JPV negeri & daerah ni, mcm2 info yg dieorg akan bagi, khidmat nasihat mengenai penyakit ayam pun dieorg bagi, alhamdullillah...

Skrg kita cerita psl lawatan plak.. sbnrnya abg aku kadir belanda baru je sampai umah subuh td dr lawatan sambil belajar anjuran Unit Unggas, JPV negeri Johor. Lawatan ni disertai oleh 25 penternak sekitar johor dan 15 staff jabatan. Itenary dieorg ialah melawat sambil belajar, destinasi mereka ialah penternakan itik di Perak, Puyuh di Kedah dan Kerbau Susu di Langkawi.. dieorg gerak dari JPV kluang ahad (21hb) pagi n balik semula ke johor smlm.. wahh, puas jalan2 tu.. insyaAllah nnt kami akan upload gambar2 lawatan abg aku tu, tggu... :)

p/s: kami sedang berdiscuss dgn JPV daerah pontian ni utk program 'projek PPRT', nk tau apa? kena la tggu sbb belum 100% settle lagi, hehehe.. insyaAllah nnt kami update..
