THE STORY BEGINS...

On 1st of May 2008, me and a friend (Omel) went to Port Dickson to ease our mind while fishing in Marina Lagoon. It was a splendid 3 days vacation cos we have a chance to talk about our career plan and our future, it was very relaxing eventhough thru out the vacation we only caught a fish, hehehe.. On our way back, we stopped by at Port Dickson Mini Zoo, me and Omel has been animals lover since we were kids. It was a very simple zoo runs by a family. What caught our attention was they have guinea fowls and quite other few game birds.

When we get back in KL, we start searching information of Guinea Fowl and how we can breed it so that everybody can "taste" this very exquisite taste of this special game bird. The search for this game birds is endless, and along the way we met new friends that share same compassions. On 11th June 2008, the 1st batch of guinea keets arrive in BinDim Farm (BD Farm) in Pontian, Johor together with 8 poultes. This is a pilot project and i dont even tell my mum about the arrival of these birds.. hehehe... btw BD farm is own by me and my brother (Abdul Kadir @ Kadir Belanda).

To date, BD Farm has more than 250 turkeys and arnd 50 guinea fowls, we also raised ayam kampung & Ayam Kabir, we are targeting of supplying at least 300 birds per month starting from June 2010. Other than poultry, we also have 4 ponds of catfish, 4 ponds of ikan puyu, and 2 ponds of ikan haruan in our humble BinDim Farm...

Project PPRT Daerah Pontian

Salam semua..

Weekend lepas mmg merupakan hari yang busy dan memenatkan. Mana taknya kami menghantar anak2 turkey dan dedak ke peserta PPRT. Sepatutnya kami hantar ke 4 peserta sekaligus, tp disebabkan permasalahan yg tak diduga terpaksa hntr ke 2 peserta sahaja.

Ceritanya mcm ni, jumaat lepas aku amik ank ayam dari seorang sahabat dari utara tanah air, disebabkan salah bajet n ketentuanNya sahabat ni x deliver seperti yg dijanjikan. sepatutnya semua ank yg ditempah berumur 1-3mggu tp sbb stok terhad umur poults ni varies sgt from DOC-1bln plus. yg kurang 1 mggu rasanya 40% kot, huhu...

Jadi atas nasihat big boss (mak aku da...) kami hntr ke peserta poults yg besar2 je dulu umur 2mggu keatas. yg comei2 tu kami bela dulu... so, terpaksa tambah brooder sbb emergency, huhuhu.. xpe lah, sbb if 1st timer bela poults umur DOC sure byk fatality, yg dh expert pun kekadang x mampu pelihara dgn sempurna inikan pulak 1st timer.. poults ni mmg sensitif, org yg dh bela sure tau.. :)

masa penghantaran poults tu dari KL-Johor aku naik keta aku jer, bygkan bwk 300 ekor turkey naik keta, boleh pening kepala dgn bau n bunyi mereka. smpi2 johor dah pukul 3.30am, esok pagi at 8am dh pg hntr poults tu, kepala aku 'weng' je sbb x cukup tdo. xpe lah, bukan senang cari duit.. huhu..

p/s: project terbaru (on going project sejak 2 thn lepas) ialah buat dedak sendiri, insyaAllah x lama lagi nk hntr lab test, nk tgk kandungan nutritionnya..
