THE STORY BEGINS...

On 1st of May 2008, me and a friend (Omel) went to Port Dickson to ease our mind while fishing in Marina Lagoon. It was a splendid 3 days vacation cos we have a chance to talk about our career plan and our future, it was very relaxing eventhough thru out the vacation we only caught a fish, hehehe.. On our way back, we stopped by at Port Dickson Mini Zoo, me and Omel has been animals lover since we were kids. It was a very simple zoo runs by a family. What caught our attention was they have guinea fowls and quite other few game birds.

When we get back in KL, we start searching information of Guinea Fowl and how we can breed it so that everybody can "taste" this very exquisite taste of this special game bird. The search for this game birds is endless, and along the way we met new friends that share same compassions. On 11th June 2008, the 1st batch of guinea keets arrive in BinDim Farm (BD Farm) in Pontian, Johor together with 8 poultes. This is a pilot project and i dont even tell my mum about the arrival of these birds.. hehehe... btw BD farm is own by me and my brother (Abdul Kadir @ Kadir Belanda).

To date, BD Farm has more than 250 turkeys and arnd 50 guinea fowls, we also raised ayam kampung & Ayam Kabir, we are targeting of supplying at least 300 birds per month starting from June 2010. Other than poultry, we also have 4 ponds of catfish, 4 ponds of ikan puyu, and 2 ponds of ikan haruan in our humble BinDim Farm...

Project Cemani

Salam semua..

la ni xde apa2 yg baru kat bindim farm, cuma skrg ni kami x cukup ayam belanda nk menampung demand pelanggan.. mmg pening kepala..

ank ayam nk supply kat projek TEKUN plak x cukup2.. huhu..

tp kalini kami xnk cerita abt that, nk cita psl Project Cemani kami yg kami mula laksanakan 2 thn lepas.. baka asal kami amik dr kawan kami, tapi baka tu x pure, x tulen.. maybe cuma 20% je cemaninya.. baka tu bulu balik kacuk silkie, warna bulu kelabu, warna balung merah, dan warna daging pun x pure hitam.. ada sekor je, jantan..

sekarang ni dh masuk keturunan F3, baka ketiga.. kami dh kawenkan dgn beberapa betina yg ada ciri2 cemani.. anak (f3) skrg yg paling besar dh berumur 3-4 bulan.. rasanya dah dapat 75-80% ketulenan cemani.. ank yg terbaru lagi sebiji mcm cemani, tp since kecik lagi (1-2mggu) so x berani nk kata apa2, sbb takut bila besar fizikal akan berubah..

ank yg berumur 3-4 bulan tu, semuanya hitam.. termasuk balung dan daging.. cuma yg masih x pure ialah bulunya.. walaupun bulunya semua hitam tp masih bulu balik, hehehe.. kawan aku, Waa ckp semakin buruk rupa ayam cemani, semakin mahal harganya.. so aku rasa if bulu dia bulu balik, lagilah hodoh ayam ni, so baka yg aku ada maybe lg mahal dr cemani yg kat indonesia tu, hahaha.. wallaulam.. :)

latest batch telur project cemani yg menetas, masih terlalu awal nk tgk ke"ori"annya.. tggu la lg 2bulan.. yg ni masih F3.. rasanya kena tggu F4 or F5 baru dpt cemani yg 100% ori.. so tggu je la kawan2.. :)
